“You can take the parrot out of the jungle but you cannot take that jungle out of our parrots”. – Salvatore Angius

Sal recently returned from a trip to Peru and the Amazon, and has new photos and stories to share.  Salvatore is the Creator of Californiaflocks. He has filmed, photographed and documented thirteen species of naturalized parrots throughout our state.

As an interest, he not only documents, but publicly shares informational updates with viewers to raise awareness on California’s parrots. Californiaflocks’ videos and photos can be seen on Youtube, Facebook and website www.californiaflocks.org

Salvatore’s current interests include documenting parrot behavior and learning the various foods that have sustained California’s parrot populations for decades. Other interests such as interactions or impacts with other animals are also documented. He publicly shares information with enthusiasts to both educate and give California’s wild parrots the recognition and appreciation he believes they deserve.
